About The Artist

Howard Ropa was the famed baritone singer on the WOWO Hoosier Hop that was broadcast from Fort Wayne, Indiana. His national popularity was shown when he announced his marriage on a network broadcast in 1940 and got hundreds of congratulatory messages from across the country and Canada. Howard also taught voice for many years and appeared frequently doing emcee duties on many personal appearances. He also worked at General Electric during 'daytime'.
