Yodeling Flo Born:  May 23, 1918 WWVA Original Jamboree

Here real name was Florence Morosco and she was from the town of Cardale, Pennsylvania. She said she got her start in radio in 1938 on a small station that aired out of Uniontown, Pennsylvania. In a few months, she got the opportunity to join the "Down On The Farm Gang" over at WWVA in Wheeling, West Virginia. But that act disbanded in a few months time. She then joined "Shorty Fincher and the Cotton Pickers". She was a vocalist and did yodeling tunes as her name might suggest.
