Mack Rains, age 79, of Williamsburg, KY passed away on Monday, June 5, 2006 at the Williamsburg Nursing Home in Williamsburg, KY.

He was a former Disc Jockey for WCTT and WEZJ radio stations and retired from the Roper Corporation. (Note from Hillbilly-Music.com: Prior to becoming a DJ, Mack entertained fans with his singing along with his band, The King Mountain Boys.)

He was preceded in death by his parents; Ned and Carrie Brown Rains and a brother; Everett Joe Rains. He is survived by his wife; Gladys Crawford Rains of Williamsburg, KY, (2) daughters; Judy Foley and Peggy Lennon, both of Williamsburg, KY, (4) grandchildren; Stacie Sears and husband Les of Keavy, KY, Sean Mason of Williamsburg, KY, John R. Lennon, IV of Virginia Beach, VA, and Jessica Lennon of Norfolk, VA, (2) great grandchildren; Erika Sears and Morgan Sears, (3) brothers; Ned C. Rains, Jr. of Winchester, KY, Jack O. Rains of Winchester, KY and Jerry L. Rains of Rockholds, KY.

Funeral services were held on Thursday, June 8, 2006 at the Jones and Son Funeral Home Chapel with Rev. Doyle Lester and Rev. Jabe Smith officiating.

Burial was in the Whitley Memorial Gardens in Williamsburg, KY.
