About The Group

In early 1953, the "Fescue Boys" joined WSB in Atlanta and were a bit of a hillbilly clowns. They were appearing on the WSB Barn Dance every Saturday night from 8:00 to 8:30pm.

The group had performed at several other Georgia radio stations prior to coming to WSB. They were on WBGE in Atlanta as well as WTJH out of East Point, Georgia. The story goes that their comedy went over so well with WSB, they were signed to a contract almost immediately and were in steady demand ever since with their comedy.
