About The Artist Jimmie Faye worked in country music on the East coast it appears in the late 1950s and was associated with Smokey Warren. Smokey mentions him in a couple of his columns. Jimmie worked with Smokey and the Arizona Trail Blazers when they appeared at the Le Coq Dor in Toronto, Ontario Canada in late 1956. In 1956, Smokey tells fans that Jimmie was stationed at Fort Dix, New Jersey and was said to have won a couple of competitions at the Regiment and Post levels, which made him eligible for competition in the 1st Army. If he got to that level, Jimmie would then get a six month tour of the world along with television appearances. Jimmie Faye was an accordion player. Credits & Sources
