Slim Johnson and Gina or Slim and Gina as they were known along with their band the Prairie Playboys, were popular entertainers in the Pittsburgh, Pennsylvania area, with radio shows as well as a television program over WJAC-TV in Pittsburgh.

Slim and Gina recorded for the Star Recording Company of Pittsburgh and had realsed at that time, "You Carved Your Initials".
