About The Artist
Yodeling Jay Steidl first got the music bug when his sister-in-law taught him how to play chords on the guitar back in the mid-1940s. Jay learned the tunes and how to yodel by listening to radio shows and recordings that featured the hillbilly music artists of the day. He did personal appearances throughout Wisconsin in such venues as night clubs, theaters and dance halls. He also entertained the troops during his stint in the U.S. Army. Credits & Sources
