About The Artist

When he was just fourteen years old, Pat Starr was working with radio station KSBS out of Kansas City, Kansas. There he stayed until he was fifteen years old, moving to KCLO where he stayed until he graduated from high school. In 1952, he and his band started travelling and doing personal appearances.

In October of 1951, they wrote that he came back to the Missouri area and was working over radio station KRES in St. Joseph. In June of 1953, he moved to KMA in Shenandoah, Iowa, where he had three daily shows, one from 12:30pm to 12:45pm, then from 2:00pm to 2:30pm and then finally, from 5:00pm to 5:30pm.
