About The Artist "Skeets" Cross got into the entertainment business not because he really wanted to, but it turned out to be his fate. One night he was drafted out of the audience to replace someone in the orchestra pit who failed to show and did so well and kept on going. He was known for his many 'dialect' roles through his stints in front of the microphone. He wrote the scripts on the WOWO Hoosier Hop apparently for quite a few years from what we read in a Hoosier Hop program. He collected jokes and literature. Skeets Cross also played the part of "Uncle Fezz", a famous philosophizer character role on the Hoosier Hop.
