About The Artist

Chuck Smith and his Midwest Trail Riders Chuck Smith formed his band the Trailriders around 1951 according to a 1953 article. The band was popular in the Muncie, Indiana area. Chuck had worked with other bands in the years prior to arriving on the Muncie scene.

He was also a bit of a songwriter, having written a tune called "Waltz of Yesterday" back then.
