Tommie L. Guthrie, professional name Tom Tall, age 75 passed away June 14, 2013.

Tom was born in Amerillo, Texas, Dec. 27, 1937 to parents Thurman and Flora Lee Guthrie (both deceased). Siblings, Johnny (deceased), Bill (deceased), and Myrna Jay Taylor who lives in Lemoore, California.

Tom married Betty Lou Hieb March 24, 1962 in Torrance, California They have 2 children and 5 grandchildren.

Tom was a country music entertainer starting at an early age. Known as Tom Tall, he made several recordings which are still available on the internet. Tom recorded the hit record "Are You Mine" with Ginny Wright in the early 1950's which became the number 2 hit on the charts. Tom was a great singer and guitar player and he had many other talents such as oil painting and drawing.

Survivors are: Betty Guthrie, Tiffany Eminger, daughter, Shandon Guthrie, son and 5 grandchildren, Ashlee Eminger, Maddee Eminger, Alex Guthrie, KatieAnn Guthrie and Rebekah Guthrie.
