Mary H. Fulmer, 86, formerly of Topeka, loving mother and grandmother went to her eternal
home on March 3, 2008 after battling Alzheimers Disease.
Funeral services were held at 10:00 a.m. on Friday, March 7, 2008 at Penwell-Gabel
Southwest Chapel. Burial followed at Penwell-Gabel Cemetery. Mary will lie in state
at the funeral home after 2:00 p.m. on Thursday and visitation was from 6:00 to 8:00 p.m.
Before marrying and starting her family, Mary and her best friend, her sister Ruth,
formed a singing duet. The Miccolis Sisters as they were known, produced
numerous records, toured with other performers like Roy Rogers, Eddie Arnold and
Gene Autry, and had a radio program on WIBW in Topeka for many years.
Her legacy and passion though was always her family, to which she devoted herself after
she married. She was preceded in death by her parents Giovanni and Francesca Miccolis
of Chicago, IL, and 5 brothers and 2 sisters.
She is survived by her sons and daughters-in-law, Britt and Brenda of Wichita, and
Bob and Louann of Topeka; sisters Ruth (Williams) of Chanute,
Fran (Powers) of Algonquin, IL, and Elizabeth (Miccolis) of Albequerqe, NM;
granddaughters Lauren, Morgan, and Haylee Fulmer; and grandson Dylan Fulmer.
A memorial has been established with Victory in the Valley in Wichita.
