It's almost time for WKCR (89.9FM, www.wkcr.org) to present its annual summer Country/Bluegrass Music Festival . The 60-hour program will run from (Friday) July 11 at 12:00 noon to (Sunday) July 13 at 12:00 midnight.

This year's highlights include a celebration of "Honky Tonkin's 25th Anniversary" on July 11 from 5-10pm. The show is 95% 1940s and 1950s Country Music and airs every Tuesday from 9:30-11:00pm EST.

Western-Swing legend Hank Thompson will guest live in the studio on Saturday sometime between 2-4pm. The full schedule will be announced shortly.

The festival closing is a 4-hour tribute to Hank Williams (July 13 from 8-12pm) and will include a rebroadcast of the 28-minute guest appearance by the house band from the very successful "Lost Highway" show. It's super.
