About The Group

The Kansas Clodhoppers were a hillbilly group that appeared on WJAY out of Cleveland, Ohio around 1932. One of the members was a fellow by the name of Doc Williams who went on later to become a legendary star of the WWVA Original Jamboree in Wheeling, WV. The group may have also been called "Doc McCaulley and the Kansas Clodhoppers."
