About The Group

This group had their roots in Lamar, Colorado and gained a bit of a reputation in the Arkansas Valley area. Their leader was Frank Bowen and his brother, still in high school, Dave Warren helped out, too. They specialized in Western music as well as doing Rock and Roll music. Frank did most of the ballad singing. Dave was known to do a bit of Elvis Presley style singing.

In late summer of 1957, they were playing regularly at the Spot 50 Tavern in LaJunta, Colorado (formerly known as the 500 Club). They also made appearances at the Eagle's Club in Lamar. They were with the Cimarron record label then and had just released a single, "Broken Hearted Girl" and "Rock 'N' Roll Blues".
