About The Group

The Oklahoma Sweethears were a sister act. Their real names were Jean and Jane Leeper and were both from Oklahoma.

Their parents gave them their first music lessons. Their first professional appearance was over radio station KVOO in Tulsa, Oklahoma as tiny kids in a Christmas "playlet". An article we found in the Sept/Oct 1949 issue of Country Song Roundup mentions they were appeared on the "Briar Hoppers" and the "WLS National Barn Dance". And also had their own show called "Cross Road Symphony", but no mention of what network or station that it originated from.

Both were said to be about five feet seven and having light brown hair and blue eyes.
