The Battle Mountain Boys

About The Group

The Battle Mountain Boys and Bobbie Dean joined forces as an act back in 1954. In a few short years, their careers saw them with a television show over Channel 27 in Tulare, California. In a later article, it seems to indicate that the group started as a duet team, consisting of Lefty, who sang and playued the fiddle and Sonny, who sang and played the guitar.

Lefty then married a singer by the name of Bobbie Dean, who then became a part of the group.

The 1958 article mentions they specialized in doing religious tunes and were recording for the Bakersfield record label and had just released a record, "One More Step to Heaven" b/w "Jesus The Light of the World".
