The Indiana Playboys

About The Group

This group of five entertainers were based in the Indianapolis, Indiana area in the early 1950s. They appeared on numerous radio stations. They also appeared on television over WFBM-TV in Indianapolis and WTTV-TV in Bloomington, Indiana.

The Indiana Playboys were also appearing each Friday on "Country Cousin" Bill Wall's "Hayloft Hoedown" that was aired over WAJC-FM. The group was hopeful of doing some recordings and were going to continue to do their radio and television appearances.

Jack Howard was said to be a cousin to Jimmie Skinner, a popular singer who recorded for Capitol records at the time.
