The Ozark Melody Boys

About The Group

There were just three folks in "The Ozark Melody Boys", but they played just about everything including the steel guitar, fiddle, guitar, drums, bass.

The group aired over KWOC in Poplar Bluff, Missouri and KPOC out of Pocahantas, Arkansas. Jack Keele was their leader, doing vocals and had recorded several tunes, some of which were his own such as "TV Stars" and "Sweet Lovelite".

Clyde Vaughn was a bit of a different steel guitarist. He not only played the triple-neck steel, but while playing, he used his foot to play the bass drum at the same time.
