Fellows Brothers and the Midwest Cowboys

About The Group

Take yourself back to early 1953 and put yourself in front of th radio in the Marshall, Missouri area. It's 11:30 and time to turn on the juice, like so many others did "...like fireflies on a warm summer's night."

That's when the Fellows Brothers and the Midwest Cowboys came on the air on radio station KMMO. Just about everyone knew they got a great thirty minutes of entertainment.

Dude and Glenn Fellows were said to have worked radio stations throughout Missouri, Arkansas, Kansas and Iowa and had been at KMMO in Marshall for the at least three years when we found them there in 1953.

They were always a popular drawing card and the Fellows Brothers were booked solid for personal appearances throughout the year back then.

They hadn't made any records yet back then, but word was a recording date had been set back then and listeners were told to look to hearing them soon.
