The Arizona Aces

About The Group

The Arizona Aces were a group put together and led by Homer Meachum. He formed the group after a short stint with WKRC in Cincinnati, Ohio. While at WKRC, Homer appeared on their "Cornhuskers Jamboree" show.

This was no small group of entertainers either - eight in total. It included folks such as Patty and Rusty (The O'Hara Sisters); Russ Wooten, Jimmie Hicks, Billy Denny, Fred Williams, Kokomo Joe Smith and Tommy Nott.

On October 25, 1945, the group was scheduled to play the WPAR Jamboree over in Parkersburg, West Virginia. They were doing personals for the Gus Sun Agency and were managed by Leon Harvey of Columbus, Ohio

Other than the lone 1945 article, no specific mention of the group was seen in later publications.
