About The Disc Jockey / Emcee Malcolm was known as a storyteller and a blackface impersonator known as "Spareribs". He was also a sometime emcee on the WLS National Barn Dance. During 1943 (and we say that because the WLS Family Album was dated 1944 and it said 'last year'), Malcolm handled a two hour stint from 3am to 5am in the morning. But during the war, that was discontinued. But he continued to handle transcriptions in the early morning and telling his stories for children.
