About The Artist D. C. (Lonesome Luke) Decker lead this group that gained popularity over Louisville, Kentucky radio stations in the late 1920s and early 1930s. He died in December of 1964. Author Charles K. Wolfe cited a 1931 reviewer of the music of Lonesome Luke in his book Kentucky Country, "Wailing blues may appeal to many persons, but Lonesome Luke and his Farm Boys have a type of plaintive melody that is likely to draw tears to the most hardened fan."
