About The Artist

Ginny Gaye's name at birth was Virginia Gaye Medacco, the daughter of Mr. and Mrs. Stephen Medecco in Muskegon, Michigan. Two other sisters became part of the family later.

Her musical talents were on display at the early age of three years old when she won first place three consecutive weeks at a local theatre talent contest.

Back in late 1956, she was appearing each week on the Green Valley Jamboree over WKATO-TV in Kalamazoo, Michigan.

Teddy Wilburn was said to have given her encouragement in her early career endeavors.
