Bill Hudlow
and the Western Playboys

About The Artist

Bill Hudlow and his Western Playboys were a popular Western dance act in Oklahoma in the early 1950s. By 1951, they were doing a show over KGFF in Shawnee, Oklahoma. The band was doing plent of personal work back then, sometimes being booked for two engagements in a single evening - as the group, which had ten members, would split up to play the engagements.

A 1951 article indicates Bill got his entertainment career start while he was in the U.S. Navy, playing the guitar and singing with the ship's orchestra.
