About The Artist

A native of Providence, Rhode Island, Ray Dixon's real name was Raymond Beaudoin and was known as the "Silvertone Yodeler". He was written up as a yodeler, widely-known throughout New England and appeared on the WCOP Hayloft Jamboree. He appeared on the show about the same time another famous yodeling singer, Kenny Roberts was on the show.

He was featured many times at the venue known as Uncle Red's Corral.

His brother Leo was a part of his band, playing several instruments to provide melody and rhythm.
