About The Artist

Earl Heywood was a hillbilly singer from north of the border in Canada. His career started back in the mid-1930s. He entertained thousands of listeners with is daily show over CKNX out of Wingham, Ontario.

He recorded for the RCA Victor label at one time and by the mid-1950s, had written over 350 songs. They said he wrote from his life's experiences.

He took up photography as a hobby in addition to being a fisherman. He as married and had two children by the mid-1950s.
