Al Dufrane
and the Bunkhouse Buckaroos
WICY Malone, NY

About The Artist

Al Dufrane formed his group, the Bunkhouse Buckaroos around 1947 or 1948. He originally thought it would just be a hobby for him and the boys. But he soon found more than just casual interest in their music.

Around 1948, the Bunkkhouse Buckaroos started broadcasting their programs over WICY in Malone, New York. The shows were sponsored as well, though no mention was made of the sponsor of the show.

The band was said to be pretty versatile and talented, all able to do specialty numbers instrumentally and vocally.
