About The Artist

Sherman Hamblen and the Songs of Cimarron were a hillbilly act out of San Angelo, Texas back in 1953 or so. They had four weekly radio shows that aired over KTXL. One was at Monday, Wednesday and Friday at 11:30am to 11:45am and antoher from 5:00 to 5:30pm on Saturdays.

The act was also playing regularly six nights a week at the Knight's Inn in San Angelo.
