Jim (Crazy Waldo) Jarose
KWGB Rhythm Jamboree Bandwagon
KWGB Goodland, KS

About The Artist

"Crazy Waldo" was what they were calling Jim Jarose when he was getting his start on the KWGB Rhythm Jamboree Bandwagon show in the late 1950s. As his name might suggest, he was a comedy act and they were tagging him as "Country Music's Zaniest Comedian". Before he began his comedic work, he was quite popular as a disc jockey over KWGB.

He was said to be able to keep the audiences roaring with his ad-libs, spontaneous fillers and comments throughout the two-hour show that kept it rolling along.

But Jim could also sing a tune quite well and would fill in when they had a vacant spot in the show.
