About The Artist

Loeta Applegate was the real name of Bonnie Blue Eyes. She was a native of Jefferson County Kentucky. She got started in her radio work by working with Bob Atcher in Louisville, Kentucky. It was then she changed her stage name to Bonnie Blue Eyes. In 1941, she toured with Gene Autry's "Melody Ranch". In 1935, she married Bob Atcher.
