About The Artist Modesto, California was the home of these two young budding hillbilly singers, Alan and Kenny Pierce. The boys got to play on shows that featured such name acts as Ferlin Huskey, Jim Reeves, Tommy Collins, Skeets McDonald and Webb Pierce. The boys performed on the local Modesto radio stations, KTRB and KBOX which led to contact with other artists such as Chester Smith, Bill Carter and his Four Star Band and a group called the Hometown Boys. The boys then moved on to television and were being seen in San Diego over Channel 8 on the Smokey Rogers show and on Channel 10 on the Ray Hogseed and Merle Moore show. Credits & Sources
