About The Artist

Skeets was born and raised on a farm in Rector, Arkansas. He learned how to play the guitar when he was a kid. His career like many was interrupted by World War II and he was part of the US Army; he served with the Medical 69th General Hospital that served in North Africa, India and Okinawa.

During the mid-1950s he was recording on Capitol Records. He was also writing songs at that time.
