Georgia Mae had a long career in Country Music and was
known as "The Girl With The White Guitar And Triple Yodel."
She was inducted into the Massachusetts Country Hall of Fame as well as
the Walpole High School Hall of Fame.
In addition, Georgia Mae joined the Daughters of the American Revolution (DAR) in
1976.
Beloved wife of the late Oscar W. "Red" Harp. Loving daughter of the late Edna
and William Kingsbury. Sister of the late William F. Kingsbury. Sister
in Law of Beatrice E. Kingsbury of Carver.
Aunt of Virginia Melanson and her husband Thomas of Walpole, Denny Brooks and
Carol Troiano of North Attleboro, Fred and Carol Kingsbury of Walpole.
Also survived by 3 additional generations of nieces and nephews.
Relatives and friends are kindly invited to attend Georgia Mae's Life Celebration
on Monday from 3-8 PM in the James H. Delaney & Son Funeral
Home, 48 Common Street, Walpole.
A Funeral Service will be held in the United Methodist Church of
South Walpole, 1886 Washington Street, South Walpole on Tuesday at 10:00 AM.
Interment will follow in Blue Hill Cemetery in Braintree. In lieu of flowers,
memorial donations may be made to the Walpole Scholarship Foundation,
P.O. Box 5, South Walpole, MA 02071.
