About The Artist Shorty Boy DiRocco started performing when he was just nine years old performing at a local thearter. From there, he entertained fans at parks, night clubs, theaters and radio. In the early 1950s, he was appearing over WDOV out of Dover, Delaware, where he was one of the first artists to appear on that station.
